Portrait of Dedication - Morgan Mandel

Morgan Mandel is another avid blogger, but then there's so much more to her. She's an author. She's a walking talking library of online information. She's a friend to many hundreds of people. She's trustworthy. She's diligent. She's always ready to help others when they are promoting a book or a cause, and always with such grace. I model myself after her in many ways and hope to keep watching her blog the days away for many more years to come.

Visit her at her super popular blog.

Portrait of a Skilled Blogger - Marvin Wilson

Marvin Wilson is one of the most talented bloggers I've ever met. He knows how to engage his audience. He understands post lengths. He understands cliffhangers. He knows human emotion. And somehow, he's able to mix religion and spirituality in there with that superbly.

His blog, Free Spirit, is highly popular and successful. There are many things to be learned there, even by his daily posting habits. Definitely give it a quick run through and you too will be hooked.

Portrait of a Real Author - Janet Elaine Smith

Janet Elaine Smith is a real author. I say that because her books are well-written and well-received. Just last week, I rounded out my collection of JES books. I look forward to all others that she'll undoubtly write in the near future.

The second thing I love about JES is her dedication to the craft of writing and marketing. She works tirelessly with the groups spreading knowledge and inspiration. You will definitely want to visit her website.

Portrait of a Giver - Joyce Anthony

Joyce Anthony is a avid blogger, die-hard reader, and a selfless giver. I've watched her in the many groups we share together. I watch her care and concern and think about the picture she paints with her life. This is to salute the giver that lives inside the heart of a really wonderful woman. Visit her website for more information.

Portrait of a Real Woman - Lacresha Hayes

Lacresha Hayes is a whole lot of things to a whole lot of people. She's a wife and a pastor. She's a student and a teacher. She's an author and a publisher. She's a mom. She's a friend. She's an advocate. But, what I love most about her is she is a really sweet woman. She's very open about her past. She's very positive about her future. She's very outspoken about her causes.

Lacresha blogs all over, but the her one blog that follow most closely is P3. Take a trip by there.

I Await Him

I used to love fairy tales. I loved the old English. I loved the settings. I loved the romance. Men pursued women. They courted them, and won their hearts. Even when I woman was won, she was careful to keep a bit of mystery about herself. And now again, I remember the last line of a book whose title I can no longer remember... "I await him, my prince, lover of my dreams, my destiny, the one who won my heart."

I grew up awaiting him too. I wanted to be won. I wanted someone to love me enough to pursue me, win my affections, chase after my hand in marriage. Well, in reality, things are not that way anymore for most women. It doesn't mean that it can't be. It means we no longer require all those things. Therefore, we no longer get them. Are you still awaiting him, the won who won your heart?

Stop Playing Games

Most relationships begin with those unspoken rules about gaming. I can tell you this, but not that. We can do this now, and then that later. We can talk about this, but this is off guards. Here's a little truth, but here's a whole lot of lies. There's a bit of confidence, and here's a little. There's no wonder most relationships don't make it to the marriage stage.

Games are played by insecure men and women who are afraid no one will love them for who they really are. Don't start your relationship by playing games. Go in with your cards on the table, and I promise you that later on, you'll be happy you did.

Working with Editors

At Living Waters, we work pretty closely with our editors. I am very fortunate to work with Christine Taylor. She's very thorough. She's almost anal. In fact, sometimes she can be annoying, but she always catches those little things.

Today, I got my manuscript back. There were so many red markings and blue comments in the manuscript that tears rolled down my face. Seems I'm still not over those simple mistakes like head-hopping or rough transitions. Oh well, let me get to my re-writes.

My Next Book ~ "UpSide Down"

I just finished and turned my next book in to Living Waters Publishing Company. I'm so excited about this series and the other books they are publishing for me. Soon, some of these books will be in actual print, which is even better.

Personally, I tell people that my preference is ebooks because it saves the trees, but I think it'll feel good to hold a book in my hands like I do the many articles I write.

Anyway, I've just finished writing and editing UpSide Down. It's going to be an excellent read. My proofreader was mesmerized by it. My family loved it. My friends loved it. All that remains is to see how you feel about it.

My First Book is Now Available

Now available from Living Waters Publishing Company is my first ebook, Uncommitment: Dealing with a Predator from my Heart of a Player series.

This book is one I'm very proud of it. It deals with the lies and games that men sometimes play and how women fall into the traps. This book is a must have for women who are dating and trying to find love.

I'll talk more about it in the upcoming weeks. Get your copy here!

Watch Your Associations

Did you know we have a tendency to date what we're around most, even if our intentions are anything but? Did you know that your friendships determine at least 30 percent of the success of your relationships?

Be careful of your friendships. Make sure they grow as you grow. Otherwise, you'll find that as you transition for marriage, those around you won't and will present challenges when it comes to your own transition.
